hiya,
well I think you may have been right about being wary Maggi, I have just got an email from a customer who received their phone on friday,
It is put very nicely containing 8 capital letter swear words,an allegation of being a thief and a disgrace to ebay,
I have sent the email through to the dropshipper as I do not appreciate those type of emails and will see what he says,
As you know I have been wavering a bit recently wondering why after 4 years of hard work and banging my head against a wall I have still not got to the stage where the outgoings are less than the money coming in:
oh well off to lick my wounds (again :D )
cheers
:porky:

Quite right. Will be interesting to hear his response.

I am sure it will come together. You have a nice looking site... now you need to concentrate on SEO... cultivate backlinks, tweak your keywords etc, make your content different, so it stands out and doesn't get lumped in with the peripheral results in Google. Hang in there... things are tough in retail right now, but they are beginning to pick up.

thanks Maggi for the encouraging words

I must have upset this customer with the phone, 1 day after getting in touch he has started a dispute with ebay, perhaps I should have sworn at him as much as he did me and made it worth it, (not really :D )

the dropshipper is being very helpful and has said we must do what we can:

heres to the next episode

hiya,
well after everything I tried to do for mr sweary he was adamant he did not want the phone, so I asked him if he would send it back, he came back with another sweary email saying " I suppose you want me to send it tracked delivery and you won't refund me either (abusive words left out obviously  ), so I said "tracked delivery is for your protection but I really don't care how you send it as long as you do,3 days later I get a mail from ebay saying your customer has been in touch, so I go and have a look and he says I have sent it, will put tracking number up later, went back next day to check tracking, "Returned to sender, undeliverable address" I gave him my home address where every letter I ever get comes to:

so I emailed him again politely and said what had happened got home from work next day and another sweary email (seems to be the way he talks) accusing me of giving a false address so I did not have to refund, then further down in the emails one from ebay-your customer has gone to customer support and of course they refunded him, I was not happy but I remembered in a earlier email he had given his mobile number, so I gave him a ring to arrange me getting a courier to collect the phone and I was being calm until he called me a thief and a disgrace to ebay, I just happened to mention that if he had read the listing he would have seen that if he had returned it he would have had a refund within a few days instead if 6 weeks, I also said I thought 1 day after emailing me was a bit quick to start a dispute, but he did not know I was away seeing friends over the bank holiday, and he said," I thought you were down as a business, you should be online all the while, I just replied " if you buy to sell you have to declare yourself a business and tell the taxman, which I am sure you know as you repair and sell xboxes, then the phone went dead,

any way finally got the phone home tonight, guess what, it works,

sorry to go on again but that is it now and I don't care because I have had 2 orders from the website this week, it is obviously that fantastic header :thumb: , thanks Maggi

cheers
:porky:

It may be worth having a chat with HMR+C if he put the phone down on you. Sounds like perhaps he has not mentioned his business venture to them :? There is a free 'ann on a mouse' number I believe so you can call with 'ann on a minty'. I reported a company once re VAT. Amazingly the company suddenly changed the way it was trading. All Maggi's fault mind since she alerted me to the probability the trader should be VAT registered but was not and we could not get our VAT out of them.
