Google will always be your friend, as will this (and many other forums).
I would suggest that when you look for a supplier (or many suppliers) you get as much information as you can on all of them, and then decide the route you want to take.
Just because company X says they are better then company Y, you still need to get test purchases from both, and then decide which is better for you?
Also remember that when people are happy with a supplier - they wont tell you about it, as they dont want to loose business, but when they are unhappy they will tell you! - or maybe they "might" tell you they are unhappy with a supplier (that is good) to put you off..... - not good - but it happends.
While not yet an amazing method of finding stock suppliers, it worth looking into a online reference called "TinEye" in basic terms it allows you a serch (like google) but for pictures.......

- this then allows you to find new suppliers, as lots of people use the same image(s).
Remember to always have your "trade" head on, you go into your local town, pop into a shop, and see a lot of boxes as they have just had a delivery, and on the outside of the box is the company that sent the good(s) - remember the name, look the company up, you might not want that information today, but next year it might be good to have it.
Good luck
